Black and platinum jewel

Handicraft jewel made and painted by Micheline.

 

Technical procedure

Sponge the jewels in mat black masking the areas that are to remain white.

Brush some MX54 medium on the white area and sprinkle some glass crystals. Fire to 800°C.

Apply some platinum to the contours of fused crystals. Fire to 780°C.

Mix some black with pen oil and trace some thin and irregular lines between the platinum and the black areas. Fire to 780°C.
